Young Israel Executive Board Elections – January 2008 Q: Who Is Being Elected? A: As per Article VI of the YIWS Constitution, the officers of the organization shall consist of:
All of the above positions have a tenure of one (1) year. Chairman of the Board of Trustees – To act as Chairman of all meetings of the Board of Trustees, as well as appoint the members of the Board of Trustees, together with the President. Since, constitutionally, this position has a tenure of 3 years it is not up for re-election in 2008. Q: Who is eligible for election on the Executive Board and how do I stand? A: Any member in good standing (paid through 2007) who is a holiday and Sabbath observer shall be eligible to hold office. Q: Who can vote in the elections? A: Only good standing members can vote in the elections. One vote per member. Please note that in the case of a family membership a maximum of 2 votes are permitted per household.
